Your initial consultation gives us a comprehensive understanding of your health. We'll explore your health history, symptoms, gut, hormone, and fertility health, diet, lifestyle, and health goals. This is often when we will recommend functional testing such as blood tests, stool tests, vaginal swabs or urine tests unique to you, to help identify the underlying causes of your health concerns. You will leave and you will have a clear path forward.

Follow Up Naturopath Consult | 60 min

Your follow up consultation will be when we expect to have any necessary further pathology test results, generally 3-5 weeks after your initial consultation. During your follow up consultation, we deliver your personalised treatment plan, based on your test results, scientific evidence, symptoms & health goals. Your treatment plan will outline your health goals, dietary advice & lifestyle recommendations, as well as herbal medicine &/or nutritional supplementation prescription.

Review Naturopath Consult | 45 min & 30 min

Review consultations are a crucial part of treatment as protocols are comprehensive and require review for any required adjustments. Review consultations are usually booked in every 2-8 weeks, allowing for modifications according to your personal progress, assessing pathology tests, and filling prescriptions.

Functional pathology testing
Alongside a comprehensive consultation, functional pathology testing helps us identify and treat underlying causes. Testing is specific to each person and shows us dysfunction, imbalances, deficiencies and overgrowths at a deeper level.
Testing options we may recommend
- Stool test — gut microbiome mapping
- Vaginal swab — vaginal microbiome mapping
- Urine test — complex UTI screening, thyroid cofactors
- Blood test — iron, vitamin D, B12, thyroid function and general health
- Saliva test — female, male and stress hormones

We take your full history - health goals, symptoms, gut and hormone health, medical history, diet and lifestyle - review any results you already have, and finish with a plan forward accompanied with your functional testing plan.
How do consultations actually run?
By secure video, so you can consult from anywhere in Australia or overseas. Test kits are posted to your home or collected at a local pathology centre, and results are reviewed together on screen.
Can I claim on private health insurance?
Rebates depend on your fund and level of cover. We issue itemised invoices you can submit so check naturopathy cover with your insurer.
Are your practitioners qualified?
Every Botanic Ave. naturopath holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy), carries professional indemnity insurance, and is a registered member of a recognised professional association.
How do I get my prescriptions?
We prescribe practitioner-only herbal and nutritional medicines through a secure dispensary that ships directly to your door, usually within two to three business days.
Do you work alongside my GP, obstetrician or fertility specialist?
Always. We work as complementary care, share reports on request, and will refer back to your doctor whenever something needs medical assessment.
How long until I feel a difference?
Most clients notice meaningful change within 6–12 weeks. Hormonal, fertility and gut conditions respond in cycles, so we plan in three-month blocks rather than quick fixes.
