Questions about consultations
Which consultation should I book first?
Every new client starts with a 60-minute Initial Naturopath Consult from $250 AUD. Follow-up and review consults are only bookable once you've had an initial.
What happens in the initial consult?
We take your full history - health goals, symptoms, gut and hormone health, medical history, diet and lifestyle - review any results you already have, and finish with a plan forward accompanied with your functional testing plan.
When is the follow-up, and is it required?
Usually 2–4 weeks later, once pathology results are back we review results with you and discuss what they mean. This is where you receive your written personalised treatment plan: herbal medicine and practitioner grade prescriptions, diet and lifestyle changes. The follow-up is the road to better health.
How often are review consults?
Every 2–8 weeks, depending on your case. Reviews are 45 minutes ($187 AUD) or 30 minutes ($125 AUD) and are used to adjust protocols based on progress, assess new pathology if necessary, and update or refill prescriptions.
Can my partner join for fertility work?
Yes, book a Couples Fertility Consult so both partners are assessed and prepared together. This creates the optimal outcomes, especially when undertaking fertility and preconception work.
How do I book, pay and reschedule?
All appointments run through Simple Clinic, our secure practice system. You choose your practitioner and a time in your timezone, pay at the time of booking, and receive intake forms, your secure video link and reminders by email. Reschedule free of charge up to 48 hours before your appointment.
How do consultations actually run?
By secure video, so you can consult from anywhere in Australia or overseas. Test kits are posted to your home or collected at a local pathology centre, and results are reviewed together on screen.
How much does testing cost on top?
Functional pathology is always optional and quoted before it's ordered — generally between $50 and $500 AUD depending on the panel.
Can I claim on private health insurance?
Rebates depend on your fund and level of cover. We issue itemised invoices you can submit; check naturopathy cover with your insurer before booking.
